Born in November 1951 Jan is a versatile, flexible and committed actor who has extensive experience in front of the camera both within films and television. Jan has a range of looks making it possible for her to take on characters both younger and older than her years.

Jan has always been involved with dance doing ballroom and latin as a young adult and disco and tap when her family were growing which included competition and show work, but she had not got the acting bug until about 12 years ago when she joined a local Am Dram Group and then on to stretching her improvisation skills with a Murder Mystery, playing such wonderful parts as Madame Edbump, Anne Watsmore and Miss Treet.

Since then the bug has really bitten and Jan has recently has been cast in the role of Sheila in the film Fakers which is due to be shot in 2013 and has been involved in the big budget feature films of The Disappeared, Rush and The King of Soho. She has also been a featured artiste in TV's Hanrahan Investigates and, more recently, Sky 1's successful comedy, Trollied.
