FOCAL POINTS
"Broken Hearts and Dreams"
Focal Points are two brothers from Ketchikan, Alaska. Don and Jeff Orr. Don started playing drums with his dad's band at the age of 10. He later took up the guitar, bass, and the keyboard.
He was always impressed with Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder being able to play all of the music on their records, in effect sounding like a complete band.
Jeff never took up any instruments, although he did own a guitar at one point in time. Jeff wandered into the music store where Don was working one day to find Don working on a recording. Don talked him into singing on that song, and thus was the beginning of Focal Points. They later started writing their own songs, some of which you will find on Amazon and Itunes.
Don said "We were always brothers, but after we started singing together, we became friends". Although Jeff no longer lives in Alaska, the two brothers still find time to write and record whenever possible. Like his idols, Don plays all the instruments, and Jeff takes the lead vocals.
Don also sings back up vocals and harmony work. Don will take the lead vocal once in a while, usually when Jeff does not want to sing the song ;) . We would like to give a very special thanks to Dee Long (Klaatu) for making our songs sound so great. "Broken Hearts and Dreams" Features Dee Long on Keyboards, Bass. Mixed and mastered by Dee Long as well.
