CHRISTINE EDWARDS
as JOYCE
A versatile experienced character actress/comedienne, with strong improvisation skills, and good comedy timing. Has worked in theatre, corporate events, tv, films, and stand up comedy, who first started performing Stand Up Comedy in February 2003 having reached that interesting age and with HRT looming she decided to try alternative therapy and threw herself into the comedy circuit.
First professional work was as a Holiday Camp entertainer, and as a 'child of the 60s' (a spotty teenager to be precise) she claims to have sang with a couple of local bands playing in salubrious venues such as youth clubs, which quickly deteriorated into smokey, dubious folk clubs, yes she had a tambourine.
Many years later, marriage, two children, and many many years later, she fought her way back to performing at Theatre Dinners and Murder Mystery evenings and a four year stint with Hospital Radio, which all lead to a variety of professional roles. With a naughty sense of humour she discovered the buzz of making people laugh. She claims to have first trod the boards at the age of 5 playing the angel Gabriel in the school nativity play, and of course as they say, the rest is history!
